The Vision World team of professionals has strong ties to our community and is dedicated to volunteering for community service. Our staff participates in a wide array of campaigns to give back to area organizations that help those in need. It is our commitment to continue our service to our community and to assist organizations that need help.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Committee

Dr. Mark Gendal was recently elected to chair the Coral Springs Martin Luther King, Jr. Monument Committee.  This year the committee is very proud to announce the 25th Anniversary of our community’s celebration honoring this great leader.  In addition to several exciting festivities planned for this momentous occasion, the Committee also plans to erect a beautiful sculpture to memorialize the legacy of Dr. King on Martin Luther King weekend in 2016.

VSP Mobile Eyes Program

Vision World partners with VSP in the United States. The VSP Mobile Eyes® program evolved from relief efforts following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2005.

VSP Mobile Eyes features deluxe clinics on wheels, outfitted with state-of-the-art exam rooms and dispensaries. These mobile clinics are ready to transform sight at every site visited.

Israel Ride – Ride as One

Dr. Gendal participates in the Israel Ride regularly to show his support.  The Israel Ride was founded as a partnership between the Arava Institute andHazon to show solidarity with Israel at a very difficult time, and to provide new avenues for supporting their critical environmental programs.

Lions Club

For nearly 100 years, members of the Lions Club, such as Dr. Gendal, have worked on projects designed to prevent blindness, restore eyesight and improve eye health and eye care for hundreds of millions of people worldwide.  The Lions Club supports Eye Banks that provide eye tissue for sight-saving surgeries and the screening of vision for hundreds of thousands of people every year.

Jewish National Fund

Dr. Gendal is an active Board of Directors member for the Jewish National Fund (JNF).  Over the past 113 years, JNF has evolved into a global environmental leader by planting more than 250 million trees, building over 240 reservoirs and dams, developing over 250,000 acres of land, creating more than 2,000 parks, providing the infrastructure for over 1,000 communities, and connecting thousands of children and young adults to Israel and their heritage.

Temple Beth Torah Sha’aray Tzedek

Dr. Jeffrey Reisch is an active Board of Directors Member at Temple Beth Torah Sha’aray Tzedek.  From its inception, Temple Beth Torah Sha’aray Tzedek has reflected the very best in the Jewish spirit of community. This Temple was founded by a handful of early pioneers who recognized the necessity of having both a synagogue and a center for Jewish activity.
